How does Mental Health Tele.com work?

At Mental Health Tele.com, you can meet with a licensed healthcare provider online for a wide range of mental health concerns. The treatment process includes three simple steps:

Step 1 – Sign up and schedule your appointment

Create an account to access your Personal Portal, provide basic personal and medical details, and book your initial appointment.

Step 2 – Initial video consultation

Meet with a certified healthcare provider who will evaluate your symptoms, review your medical history, and create a personalized treatment plan.

Step 3 – Follow-ups

Stay connected with your provider to track your progress, manage prescriptions, and discuss any questions related to your treatment journey.

What’s included in the initial and follow-up appointments?

The initial appointment is a 30-minute online consultation with a licensed medical provider. During this visit, your clinician will evaluate your symptoms, provide a diagnosis, develop a personalized treatment plan, and issue a prescription if clinically appropriate.

Follow-up appointments are 15 minutes long and give you and your provider the opportunity to review your progress, make any necessary adjustments, and ensure your treatment continues to meet your needs.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of an appointment depends on the type of service you choose. Most services at Mental Health Tele.com are priced at $195 for an initial appointment and $159 for a follow-up appointment.

What Kinds of Healthcare Providers Work at Mental Health Tele.com?

Medical professionals at Mental Health Tele.com include Medical Doctors (MD), Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PHNP), and Physician Assistants (PA).

All our providers are certified to diagnose and treat mental health conditions and are authorized to prescribe medications online, including controlled substances when clinically appropriate.

What Medications Can Mental Health Tele.com Providers Prescribe?

Healthcare providers at Mental Health Tele.com can legally prescribe a range of medications for various conditions, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental health concerns.

Medications that may be prescribed include both non-scheduled and Schedule II–V drugs. Please note that the decision to prescribe any medication is made by your provider only after a thorough evaluation of your symptoms, medical history, and overall health needs.

Why Was I Prescribed Medication Different from What I Requested?

At Mental Health Tele.com, we understand that you may have preferences or expectations about certain treatments, and our medical team always takes your requests into consideration. However, your clinician is responsible for prescribing the medication that is safest and most effective for your specific situation.

We carefully select licensed providers who are highly qualified to treat a wide range of mental health conditions. In some cases, finding the right medication may require time and adjustment. If you feel that your current medication isn’t meeting your needs, we encourage you to discuss it openly with your healthcare provider.

Does Mental Health Tele.com Accept Insurance?

Currently, Mental Health Tele.com does not accept insurance. We are actively working on partnering with major insurance providers and will notify our patients as soon as this option becomes available.

Do You Provide Disability Letters?

At Mental Health Tele.com, our medical practitioners currently do not provide disability letters.

Prescription

Can I receive a prescription without seeing a healthcare provider?

No. To ensure safe and appropriate care, a licensed provider must conduct an evaluation before issuing any prescription.

What medications can Mental Health Tele.com providers prescribe?

Our licensed clinicians can prescribe a range of medications commonly used to treat conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and stress-related disorders.

Does booking an appointment guarantee obtaining a prescription?

Not necessarily. A prescription is issued only if your provider determines it’s clinically appropriate after the consultation.

Why was I prescribed medication different from what I requested?

Your provider may choose an alternative medication that better fits your symptoms, health history, or potential side effects.

Can I be prescribed ADHD medication while on Suboxone treatment?

In most cases, providers do not prescribe stimulant ADHD medications alongside Suboxone due to safety concerns and possible drug interactions.

Is medication the first-line treatment for mental health conditions?

Not always. Depending on your condition, your provider may recommend therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination of approaches before or alongside medication.

Do you prescribe Schedule II medications?

Mental Health Tele.com providers currently do not prescribe Schedule II controlled substances, in compliance with federal regulations.

Can I receive an urgent refill without seeing a provider?

No. For your safety, all refill requests must be reviewed and approved by your licensed provider.

Can I obtain a post-dated prescription?

No. Federal law prohibits post-dated prescriptions. Prescriptions are issued only at the time of your consultation.

What’s included in the initial and follow-up appointments?

The initial appointment lasts about 30 minutes and includes a detailed evaluation by a licensed provider along with a personalized treatment plan.
Follow-up visits are approximately 15 minutes and allow you and your clinician to review your progress and adjust your plan as needed.

How do I join my online appointment?

To access your appointment, log in to Mental Health Tele.com using the email and mobile number you registered with, then join the video call from your Patient Portal.
Please join on time and ensure a stable internet connection with your camera and microphone enabled. You can test your setup using the free Twilio Video Diagnostics Test.

What should I do if I can’t join my online appointment?

If you’re unable to join your session:

  • Log in through the official Patient Portal using your registered email and phone number.
  • Make sure the link isn’t open in another tab, browser, or device.
  • Run the Twilio Video Diagnostics Test to check your camera, microphone, and network.

How long does it take to diagnose ADHD?

An ADHD diagnosis typically requires one appointment with a licensed clinician. The session includes a mental status exam, review of ADHD diagnostic criteria, and completion of assessment forms during the visit.

What’s included in a personalized treatment plan?

Your treatment plan may include lifestyle recommendations, prescribed medications if appropriate, and referrals for additional therapies such as counseling or psychotherapy.

Should I book several appointments in advance?

Some conditions may require multiple visits over time. Mental Health Tele.com does not use a subscription model — you can book one appointment at a time and schedule your next visit based on your provider’s recommendations and your treatment progress.

How much does it cost?

The cost of an appointment depends on the type of service. Most of our services are priced at $195 for an initial visit and $159 for a follow-up appointment.

Will Mental Health Tele.com charge me extra for online prescriptions?

No. There are no additional fees for prescriptions — you only pay for your scheduled appointment.

Is it necessary to have insurance to refill my prescription?

No, you can request a prescription refill even without insurance coverage.

Does Mental Health Tele.com accept insurance?

Currently, Mental Health Tele.com does not accept insurance. We are actively working to partner with major insurance providers and will notify our patients once this option becomes available.

DEA Update

Have the new DEA rules become valid on November 11, 2023?

According to information from the DEA, several updates to the regulations on prescribing controlled substances via telehealth were expected to take effect on November 11, 2023. However, based on the latest DEA announcement, the existing rules have been extended until December 31, 2025.

This means patients can continue receiving prescriptions online without needing to see their healthcare provider in person.

What is a controlled substance?

Controlled substances are medications or other substances with a higher potential for abuse or dependence. Because of this risk, their use and distribution are regulated by the government.

Some medications used to treat ADHD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and similar conditions may fall under the controlled substance category.
